North Pole

I think this picture is doctored for the desired outcome.  First of all, when I spent three summers up in the Canadian high arctic, I did stay up once for twentyfour hours just to witness the "midnight sun". It was there,  the sun looked the same as during the middle of afternoon half way between zenith and the horizon.  I spoke to some of the teachers in the eskimo settlements and they were describing the darkness during the middle of winter.  And if that is not convincing, just look at the reflection of the sun and the moon on the open water.  If you can see it than it is definitely fake.  There is no open water during the winter time in the arctic.  Everything is frozen.  Nevertheless, it is still a beautiful picture. But certainly it is not the "high-noon-moon" (the opposite of midnight sun?)
SUNSET AT THE NORTH POLE     on  12-29-2008

This is the sunset at the North Pole with the moon at its closest point on - 12-29-2008.
A scene you will probably never get to see in person,
so take a moment and enjoy God at work at the North Pole.

And, you also see the
sun below the moon .
An amazing photo and not one easily duplicated.
You may want To pass it on to others so they an enjoy it.

The Chinese have a saying that goes something like this:

'When someone shares with you something of value, you have an obligation to share
 it with others!'

I just did.  Your turn....
